The World English BIble is a free, public domain (not copyrighted) translation of the Holy Bible created by updating the language of the American Standard Version of 1901. Where there are significant variations between the Greek Majority Text, the Textus Receptus, and the Nestle/Aland critical text, the Majority text reading is used in the main text, but the other variations are noted in footnotes. This translation is made freely available without copyright restrictions because of countless hours of volunteer prayer and labor.
The World English Bible is available for free reading and download at eBible.org/web. This text matches the eBible.org text as of September 24, 2014.
